A frog which grows to 50mm in length. Capable of very long leaps and found in open forests and Melaleuca swamps. It is usually associated with streams, ponds, lakes and water covered grassy areas. The males will call from the ground with rapid “yapping” or “wik – wik- wik” at the onset of spring or summer rains. Found near the billabong during a night survey.
